Letter from Parkmore P.S.
"I am writing to thank you and the organisers of the Strathdon Children's Art Show this year. I am very proud of my school's individual and collective achievements in visual art and appreciate the opportunty to showcase some of our work. Debbie Coulter is an inspirational art teacher who really teaches children how to create special quality work.

I attended the formal presentation on the Friday evening and was most impressed by the art displayed. As you can see, primary school aged children are extremely creative and talented. I thought that the winning piece for Burwood Heights, created by a prep girl, was just lovely.

Please accept my personal thanks and appreciation for giving children such a special opportunity. I look forward to further involvement in 2006.

Regards,

Judy Boler
Principal, Parkmore Primary School

Thank you
Our thanks to the teachers for enabling their students to participate in this event.

Our thanks also to the Volunteers who spent many hours collating and mounting the entries, prior to arranging them on the display boards. A special thanks to John and Margaret Colvin, Colbry Curtains P/L for co-ordinating the event again this year. As you can see, it was a magnificent display of some very inspired art from young people.

Our thanks to Laylah Ali an international artist, who judged the entries.

Our thanks to Frame City for donating the coloured mounts for displaying the artworks.

The artworks were for sale at a modest cost and proceeds from this and a small entry fee for adults were donated to Strathdon Community.

2006
This event will be held again next year and we would greatly encourage more schools in our local community to participate. We would also love to see more parents bring their children to view their artwork and enjoy being part of the Children's Art Show.
