Strathdon
Community's Chaplain, Mr Steve Crump, continues to provide pastoral
care to the residents, their families and the staff of Strathdon Community. On Sunday, an Ecumenical Worship Service is conducted weekly at 10.30am in the Matheson Memorial Chapel. Weekly services are also held at 11am on Thursday in the Jack Faichney Hostel and Sunday at 1.30pm in the Nursing Home. Catholic Mass is conducted on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10.30am in the Chapel. These services provide the opportunity for the fulfilment of the spiritual needs of residents, their families and staff. As well as these regular weekly worship services, special celebrations are held at Christmas and Easter. A Service of Remembrance for those residents who have died in the past 6 months is held twice each year. This six monthly time for remembering provides an important opportunity for the families of residents, staff, volunteers and other members of our community to celebrate the lives of these departed loved ones. ![]() |

An important aspect of the care we offer is provided by volunteer visitors. These volunteers are supported and encouraged in this vital work. If you would like to become a volunteer visitor, please contact Sue Davey on 9845 3121. |

| The Parkmore congregation
of the Uniting Church makes a significant contribution to the worshipping
life of the Strathdon Community. Because the Community Centre includes the Matheson Memorial Chapel, the Parkmore/Strathdon congregation is pleased to worship in this most attractive venue.
